As promised back in mid-March '15, I have looked at "Summary statements of quarterly returns of ordnance and ordnance stores on hand in regular and volunteer army organizations . . .", Microcopy 1281, reel #1 , regarding the Missouri State Militia battery of Wachsman / Thurber. There is information available for six quarterly returns (4th 1/4 1862, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th 1/4s 1863, and [for Battery L 2nd Missouri Light Artillery] for the 1st 1/4 1864). And that is it, nothing later in 1864, or in 1865 at all.
In each quarterly entry this battery is listed as having two 12# mountain howitzers, and four 2.9" iron Parrott rifled guns. The later "error" was apparently due to trying to shoe-horn four very odd artillery pieces into a standardized form.
