You might like to know the Arthur H. Clark Company will be releasing a second book written by the late David E. Wagner regarding the Powder River Expedition of 1865 - PATRICK CONNOR'S WAR: THE 1865 POWDER RIVER INDIAN EXPEDITION - per the Spring 2010 Catalog (page 45) of the University of Oklahoma Press. This study is expected to be released in May 2010.

Having researched the expedition for nearly 20 years, I can attest Wagner did an excellent job on his first book.

My interest in the campaign is a result of my great-grandfather's participation. He was a member of Company L, 2nd Missouri Light Artillery. I am in the process of writing a history of the unit.
