I was Google searching information on the 1865 Powder River expeditions and came across this web site with a one paragraph note about a 2009 event discussing this expedition. My great, great grandfather was Capt Napoleon Boardman commander of "M" Company in Col. Cole's troops. When my father was working on a family history and had Napoleon's four page post expedition report. We've since donated the report to a museum but we have a transcribed version if it might be of interest.
