Not if I have it right. I checked the UK online census and made the following notes about John:

"There is a census entry for a John Moonlight in 1851 as follows. It may not refer but there is no record of any other John Moonlight born at the right time anywhere else in the UK records.

1851 Census - Crowboro Warren, Withyham,Sussex
David BARRY Head age 57 Ag Lab born Scotland
John MOONLIGHT Partner age 22 Ag lab born Scotland

[In the column on the census form headed "Whether blind or deaf & dumb" there is a tick against both names but over the 9 pages covering the census area there are a suspicious number of ticks in this column. Probably meaningless! Also came across the following link which refers to the same area in 1838 http://theweald.org/Census38.asp?MemoId=C0Cr02
and this which actually shows John himself in 1851! http://theweald.org/P2.asp?PId=Cr.WrrnLo ]

(The entry below is definitely the right John Moonlight connected to the family tree I am working on)
1861 Census - Trowbridge Place, Liverpool
John MOONLIGHT age 31 Dock carter born Scotland
Alice MOONLIGHT age 22 born Liverpool
Elizabeth MOONLIGHT age28 (visitor - single) born Scotland [PRESUMABLY JOHN'S SISTER]
Thomas MOONLIGHT age 2mo born Liverpool
(plus other various lodgers and boarders)

1871 Census - 14 Trowbridge Place, Liverpool
John MOONLIGHT age 40 Car driver born Scotland
Alice MOONLIGHT age 31 born Liverpool
Thomas MOONLIGHT age 10 born Liverpool
Agnes MOONLIGHT age 6 born Liverpool

Another child named James Campbell Moonlight was born and died before the next census in 1881. John Moonlight (and his wife Alice Aspinall) also died in this period (1879 and 1872 respectively). Their son Thomas married in 1880 and remained in Liverpool and their daughter Agnes ended up back in the 'land of her fathers' in Angus, Scotland, married in Scotland and died in Dunfermline, Fife in 1947. I have the details of her descendants.
