I have been researching Thomas Moonlight, on and off, for a number of years. I live in Fife, Scotland, just over the river from Dundee. My wife was married to a Moonlight and her children and grandson all bear this surname. She originally comes from Dundee too and was married there. Perhaps we could exchange some information. There is so much incorrect stuff out there, so it would be nice to correct it.
