Not what you are looking for, but I had two CSA ancestors who were at the "Hornets nest" and lived.
At least one bathed his wounds at the "bloody pond." That one was Sgt. J. D. Pearce of the 8th Arkansas
and the other man was Private James Thomas Harper of the 5th Tenn.
I also had a ggg uncle who was shot at Shiloh and died afterward. His named was Owen Guthrie of the
10th Arkansas CSA and he was no more than a kid.
Terrible shame, all that waste of humanity and so much misery.
