In Response To: Co. G, 41 Illinois Infantry ()

I did a quick search via Soldiers and Sailors System there are 1753 men that went through the regiment.A name would be helpfull....There are many with a Scots surnames .I don't see Co. G as being Scot .The Company Capt was a man named Anderson . In my quick search I see a Baley, Brennen and Brown.Scot roots might be Brownlee. These might be Ulster Scots or Irish.Lots of Armstrong's and Campbell's in other regiments. It doesn't give the breakdown of the deaths as to where they happened.Individually they might.Have you checked the the Illinois Database

Usaully somewhere around 200 men in a Inf.Company at any given time.
