The Illinois in the Civil War Message Board

Co. G, 41 Illinois Infantry

Hello,
Looking for knowledge/information regarding the company mentioned above. I'm specifically interested in the details surrounding the men who fell July 12, 1863 at Jackson, Mississippi, if the company was Scottish only, and if there were a mass burial of the troops who died there. I grew up in Illinois--now in Arizona--so if there are good references/books/on line references which I could acquire or access in Arizona-that would be great.
