I have found my greatgrand father was a prisoner at Hart's Island . His name is
Silas Rufus Perry in the 12 regiment south carolina comp. c. But i can find no other info . i would like to know what battle he was in when he was captured and any other info yu may have . this is a very hard thing to trace down if you can help i would apprciate all you can do. thank you nancy
