I think the scenario you describe is pretty realistic. You have to wonder if the sail rig would have been reduced. The bay was a pretty pestilential area in the late spring and summer. You would expect the health of the crew to be an issue. I've never seen anything suggesting that her hull was coppered, so you wonder about how long it would take until her hull was worm-eaten. She was well enough armed to give any of the blockaders I've read about on that section of the coast a lively time of it.
