Evelyn, I would absolutely love it......I am 68 but very "energetic" and "on the go" Not a mall shopper(yuck) not a TV person....unless it is History Detective on PBS or one of the Documentaries, ie Ken Burns.....I was raised in Pensacola, Florida. My paternal extended family always spoke of "The War of Northern Agression" lol lol lol Anyway, I grew up listening to discussions re: State's Rights and discussions of tatics of the Generals, etc. Old photographs of ancestors in civil war uniforms (Gosh I wish I knew where those photo's ended up)....someone in the family probably has and perhaps not the least bit interested...or at least, the 2nd and 3rd cousins groan when the subject is brought up....especially my brother. No, I would prefer the enactment experience rather than the home tour. I usually make the GEORGE RANCH program; however, it has become so commercialized and so many people attend, just not the same feeling it was several years ago. The traffic congestion is similar to the freeway congestion experience....sours your enthusiam. How does one get started. I do not think my husband shares the enthusiasm; however he has encouraged me to check into....how would that work?????
