I started with Ancestry.com two years ago with very littlel information and now I have very solid information going back several generations. It is well worth the effort and I've not only filled in so much of my tree, but I've also connected with several cousins from all over the country. Along the way I've discovered over 30 ancestors who fought in the Civil War, including my 2nd great grandfather who was in the 38th Illinois, along with his brother (whom he buried under a tree on a battlefield).
