Thank you for that. Kind of reminds me of Lt. William White of the 90th Illiniois. He sent similar letters to his wife and numbered them. Two of them are on the internet. They are in the possision of his great great grandaughter. I think there were numbers 54 and 55. The rest have disappeared. Known only go God. He was my great grandfathers company commander. I have read them and yes they tell it like it was.
