Hugh Simmons/anyone - You seem to know a lot about Vicksburg and Lamberts - I am researching my wife's Lambert family. William S. Lambert and Seth H. Lambert II were cousins enlisting in the 41st Ga G company. Seth's dad (also Seth) enlisted as well in another regiment. What I am trying to clear up is this reference to Seth at Vicksburg and what happened to these two afterward. Seth Sr was born 1815 and died 1866 and Seth II born 1841 and died 1864 based on the dates of their headstones. We found William S. Lambert headstone but it had no dates. If you or anyone else can add information to determine which Seth was at Vicksburg and when William S. died it would be appreciated.
