Another question. Where were prisoners taken that were wounded or sick after Vicksburg.
William Scurlock Lambert was in the Vicksburg hospital 12/31/63 along with his uncle Seth Hampton Lambert. They were both in the 41st Georgia at Vicksburg and were obviously too sick or wounded to be moved at the end of the battle in July.
