I want to clear up a few things.

I have not received any private messages from you other than this group. You mails are clearly going to an old address.

Secondly, if you wish a public apology, then I want one too for the damage caused to my research. You have contributed to the Marvel lie that he had knowledge on the Alabama crewmen, despite copying his letter here previously to show you otherwise, that you now show on your site namely;

Appleby his birth is from my notes which he copied.

Brewer's death is from my notes.

Burrell's burial is not only from a Crossfire publication here in the U.K. and the three below, but also from my original notes.

Caren as above.

Horwood as above.

Frederick Johns memorial etc.
These last four give credit to Chris Old, or in the case of the latter Marvel as well, as the source. Again these are from my notes.

Mars burial in London is from Marvel, when this was located by me and was in my notes when he read them in Liverpool.

Thomas Potter's death is from my notes.

To me your contributing to the myth and this has done damage to my name and my research. You only need to look at your comments in here when you say it might have come from Chris Old's or shall we say Marvel's notes.

You said I cannot check all the sources that come in or read minds, but you quite prepared to have me waste my time on Risien and not to rule him out. The Confederate Veteran is not proof of a man's service Terry. Would you have me waste my time on the following also, whom all claim credit to serving on the Alabama;

Alexander McRury, John Robert Gibbs, William Simpson, George Bowman, Michael Daly (in the Confederate Veteran) Risien, William Jackson, James Glevin, John Tallentire? Richard Burton, a man named Flores, or how about William May, noted as the ships leading carpenter, to name a few off the top of my head. If he had an alias he would be proud to name it later on in life. Look at Henry Ustaker and Ralph Masters.
