I hereby certify that this day Edwd Fitzmorris O.Seaman has been discharged from this Str and that Commander R. Semmes has sent notice to Messrs Fraser Trenholm and Co Liverpool England to discontinue the payment of the said Edwd Fitzmorris allotment. This being the earliest moment at which said notice could be sent.

Recd from Commander R Semmes the sum of six pounds (£6) which sum has been charged by me against Edwrd Fitzmorris O.Sea who has this day been discharged. The six pounds above mentioned having been paid to Elizabeth O' Connor, agent for the said Edwrd Fitzmorris, in three monthly allotments by Messrs Fraser Trenholm and Co Liverpool, England, as ? under given by Commander R Semmes allotments
embracing the months of September October and November.

Received from Captain R. Semmes, CS Navy the sum of Three Hundred and Twenty Eight Pounds, Ten Shillings, Sterling being the amount of allotments which I have charged against the following men for the quarter ending March 31 1864; the said allotments being paid by Messrs Fraser Trenholm and Co of Liverpool upon the order of Captain Semmes £328.10/- Francis L Galt C.S. Navy Acting Paymaster It then gives a list of the men.

Saturday January 4 1992 New Moon

Nice looking woman at the library today. She knew I was looking at her and came over to the table to ask me about request slips and how to use them. Noticed the rings on her finger. Shame. Found burial of John Caren, ord seaman.

January 13 1992 Monday First Quarter.

Confirmed grave of William Morgan, and posted letter to Lydia and the Snape lady. ( note this last person is related to Robert Egan)

letter from Marmelstein arrived, see July 16. Sandra's xmas card should have arrived.

December 15 1992 Tuesday

Posted copies to Marmelstein dated letter 14th.

12 June 1993 Saturday

letter to Tennessee newspaper over the relative on the Alabama. (note this is the letter Marvel saw during his visit)

October 26 1993 Tuesday

paid another call on the capitol today. Again nothing worth the visit, possibly not in this case. Burrell's burial found and Osborne's death(note related to Rawes)and that of Edward Rigby (note my relative), but nothing much on the crew.

These are just a few extracts from it.

Terry, I don't know how much proof you need from me, other than sending you all my work. I've given you pieces in here, and I've given you the names of respected people I know, and who know my work, and yet you still want more. To live in the shadow of Marvel has been extremely disappointing to me. He has moved on to other things, while I have remained here with the crew who I love so much. I have tried to prove things to you of my work and still do. This is the damage Marvel has done to me and my work. I have to go on bended knees to convince people all the time, and I grow tired of it.

I'm off to the South coast tomorrow to follow up on Henry Tucker and Brent Johnston, so forgive me for not replying to any more mails.
