Yes, the two images of the vessel taken at Singapore's New Harbor in 1863, are the same view. Mr. Peter Lee's copy is in better condition than that of the Tennessee Archives. It is a large sized view, so may be a post war reproduction. Mr. Lee would prefer confidentiality, so will not correspond further with anyone on the image, unfortunately.
I suspect that there may be other on deck views that were taken at the time, but it would require a thorough search in many facilities, and this could take years. Perhaps a good place to start may be amongst the papers and documents of the photographer, which hopefully are held in Angolan or South African Archives or some other similar sources in those countries.
English photographer, E.C. Buxton mentions taking three photographs of the ALABAMA at Singapore, in 1863, one of which may, or may not be the one showing the vessel at New Harbor. I tried to locate Mr. Buxton's papers (and perhaps copies of the photographs) in England, without much success.
