He didn't serve on THE alabama for I have the crews allotment papers, and I have had them since 1991. That letter is still in my possession Terry. Ask your other sources if they have theirs, for you quote them on your site. I think he may have served on the other CSS Alabama that got caught off Mobile in 1863.
We talked about Mars before in one of your old letters. His name is not spelt Mars. Henry Ustaker, seaman on the Alabama, was not his true name. I won't bore you with any more.
