Thank you for all the information. All I could keep saying was "Wow."
It was only recently that I finally discovered that Robert had actually been wounded.
I do have his war records and will sit down with his dates and compare them with the list of regiment engagements.
He was captured only days before Gettysburg, with the consequence perhaps...that his further survival meant there are any descendants, here now seeking any information about him.
