My GGfather, James Darley Newcomb, was a member of the 10th Kansas Infantry; wounded @ Prairie Grove & Nashville. Reading the AG's report of their participation @ Franklin, TN in 1964 just fuels my interest. Since the records of their participation is lost to the official record; does anyone know of 1st person accounts (memoirs, letters, etc.) existing that vouch for that participation? I don't doubt the validity of the AG Report. I just want to know more about what the 10th and my GGfather did. Anybody???
