Thank you...our GG's certainly lived in some interesting times. I'm going (one of these days) to the Oklahoma History Museum here in OKC and see if I can peruse some of the records of the GAR Post to which J D Newcomb and my GGmother Sarah were members (I have their membership badges, rings and such) and see if anyone ever wrote out some recollections. I'll certainly share if anything comes of it.
