Thank you for your kind words in response to my post providing further information concerning the Quitman Artillery from Natchez, MS. Following your advice, I rechecked my sources which includes my private collections of artillery unit information complied from many sources. After so doing, I do not find it necessary to change anything in my post as it appears above. My sources include, among others, Joseph H. Crute Jr's "Units of the Confederate States Army" from Olde Soldier Books, Gaithersburg, My., and another source I consulted is the small work entitled "War of the Rebellion, Offical Records of the Union and Confederate Armies". US Goverment, Washington D.C. 1880 128 volumes in four series. Please see Series I, Volume 15, Book 21. which contains numerous citations. I now suggest that you consult your information and sources.
