Thank you for this response, I did not have much this information on Lovell. However, within your post lays one of the points I have had to deal with over the three or four years I have reseaching English's Battery; Kerr was not in the Quitman Light Artillery from Natchez, he was in another MS artillery unit with a similar name. My Quitman Light Artillery which later fromed English's Battery (AKA the English Battery), went from Natchez to Pensacola, back to Natchez, then to Fayette MS, then to Port Husdon. I will post a more detailed answer later when I can look at my chronology.
