Keith, yes, Latham came to the field with three Napoleons, one 12-pound howitzer, and the one 6-pound bronze gun. The howitzer and bronze gun were disabled during the engagement on 2 July, and they were replaced late that night by two of the three 10-pound Parrotts captured from Smith's New York battery at Devil's Den. The third Parrott replaced a burst 3-inch Rifle in Captain Reilly's battery. Incidentally, during the charge on 3 July, Major John Cheves Haskell reported to Colonel Alexander with at least one piece from a NC battery - probably Latham's - and advanced it with four other guns (three from Captain Miller and one under Lt. Battles) to fire upon what was likely the movement by Stannard's Vermont brigade against the right flank of Pickett's division. These five guns were in the open and very exposed, and before ten minutes had elapsed were silenced by Union batteries in Major McGilvery's line.
