Ron,
To the best of my knowledge John E. Magee's diary isn't online. I have a copy of it that our battery transcribed several years ago. It runs from November 6, 1861 until November 6, 1863. It is quite a good read as to the day to day life, but somewhat short on military matters. We have five diarys and two groups of letters to and from home. I hear of another partial diary I hope to get a copy of. We started looking for the genealogical info of the 256 men who served in Stanford's Mississippi Battery some three years ago. We have found the burial location of 114 so far with a nice collection of family info. We have a lady that lives about 30 miles from me that wants to publish the info when we get it together. We plan on using any monies raised to continue our battlefield preservation efforts.
