Thanks for clearing that up,the ("Old-Mite's and Bounds system was very faulty to say the least with only referance to streams,river's,& Mountains many with the exact same names,& Decriptions,errors were almost certain)with no Referance points in Degree's or -which came later-Townships- it confussing.

And add on their Errors, of Johnston,Boone,& Cooper I got lost! Johnston should have not been that far south in any case doing a Boundray of Kansas and Ok- this should of been much North of Keystone,Boone was in both places,and camped near the N.Ark & Cimarron by Keystone,mis-took this same named area's that were much N..Add some Indian lost names of streams in to the mix also.

I read his Boone's survey some time ago,this was a wildness area- as you stated all the trails followed the River's and depending on the good water,& Grasses,for Horse food, supplies ect.,and ease of travel-was the rule of that time.I will re-read that again.
I was aware of the Salt Water & Plains Salt- mostly in the Cherokee Nation outlet,this was a very important product in the west at that time.(Preserve meats,ect.)Ownership,of one these, was a good business.Only Cherokee could have,one in that Nation-as Sam Houston found out.

Degree's of Long.-Lat.would help-these survey's are a lost art-in finding the true locations,but common before the better Township system came along.The Indian Nation's boundrays found this out also.
Property,and land claim's error's were almost always in dis-pute so the two partys would walk the land-together to end these dis-putes.
More carefull studies-on my part! Needed.
