I'd also recommend viewing a copy of Buresh, Lumir F., "The Battle of Mine Creek". From this source the 11th Rgt, KSM belonged to Thomas Moonlight's 2nd Brigade. Pages 160-161 detail movement of Moonlight's Brigade from Paola to Mound City then Ft Scott. So from this, they were nearby, but not actually engaged on Mine Creek battlefield.

What 7th Regiment are you referring to-the 7th MSM or 7th Indiana?
