Dear Paul, Forgive my tardy reply I have been hospitalized three times since the new year. I had surgery last Thursday and am OK now. Yes, the Rices are true cousins of the Welsh Prices, as are most folk named Rhys or Reese.

Seems that in ancient Wales the term "ap" meant 'son of' like Mc or Mac or O' in other Celtic regions. Price was originally ap Rhys. Over the years it became corupted to "Price." And as they say...the rest is history and we have been corrupting the young women of Wales and England ever since.

Now if you are even remotely interested I can tell you about an entirely different tribes of "Prices" from Germany. Your friend, Scott "Memento mori."
