Re: Captured Chaplains and Surgeons at Fort McHenr

Tinsley's diary was online and contained a substantial amount of detail on the hospitals and the aftermath of Gettysburg. I would have imagined that the Chaplains remained at Fort McHenry but I am not certain. I have since identified two more Chaplains (for a total of 16) who were captured after Gettysburg. James Beauschelle of the 3rd Georgia was sent to Fort Delaware and then onward to Johnson's Island; he was released in the fall of 1863. James M. Stokes from the 48th Georgia was captured on 5 July, but I do not know what became of him.
