Sorry, should have read more carefully, the 27th Alabama Infantry was also at Forts Henry and Donelson, but I believe they were captured at Fort Donelson. A Surgeon named John A. Houston of the 27th Alabama would be captured and die at the Camp Chase hospital shortly after arriving at Chase from Donelson. He died on March 14, 1862 and is now buried at the Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery under stone 2067.
