In Georgia, in 1864, Sherman was busy burning and appropriating all available resources. The prisoners at Andersonville ate just about as well as their guards. The terrible overcrowding can be laid at the feet of Grant, who stopped exchanges to rob the South of any returning soldiers. The prison government hanged several of their co-prisoners for preying on the weaker ones.

If your Professor Sanders has no better perspective than it sounds as if he does, I have no desire to read him.
