Hi Dave: I believe the CSN did indeed have plans to install a rotating gun turret based on the British Cole turret design on a vessel being built in Georgia, in fact GW, in his msg to you seems to be familiar with the proposed plan for the Columbus built vessel. The only other CSN vessels I know of with turrets would have been the two Laird Rams, and the French built CSS Stonewall and her sister ship which eventually finished up in the Prussian Navy.
