Yes Ron, those are the guns I was mentioning. I noticed on Stark's list there were many "false Napoleons". Thanks for clarifying what he meant. I also realized that the six pounder/James at Fredericksburg was an Alger and not a Revere when I looked at his research. Must be a Revere sitting near by it. ;-) What did you make of the trough or groove on the muzzle swell as opposed to a hole for a sight blade on the Spotsylvania gun? I've never seen that before either. Thanks for your input.
