There is a book written on the 24th. Wisconsin by William Beaudot.( The 24th. Wisconsin Infantry in the Civil War) If you cannot find it at a bookstore you can find it on E-bay. I have in my collection 3 cdv's from the 24th. Wis. Arthur MacArthur , John Mitchell father of Billy Mitchell Both of these are used in Beaudots book. And 1 that I believe is Hermann Hesse Surgeon. Mr. Beaudot lives in Milwaukee and you could look him up in the phone book and I'm sure he would be willing the share his knowledge with you and he's a heck of a nice guy. Next weekend I will be at Wood V.A. Hospital with a display set up and I'm sure Mr Beaudot will be around for their big weekend event. Good luck on your research !
