Thanks for the reply. I have had health issues or I would have replied before now.

I am now trying to figure out what happened to my great grand uncle John Evans. The information I have is that John joined Co K on 4 Oct, 1864, but was mustered out on 18 Nov, 1864, one day before the 183rd left for TN.

Then I have another record showing John as being mustered out on 18 July, 1865 in Salisbury, NC.
