It has been awhile and I would have to familiarize myself again. I seem to remember I read in the history of the 36th IL. as far as Goodnight Spring. Possibly the 73rd IL.. Were they ,the 21, brigaded with the 36 or I would have to go through my notes. Pvt Edward Clark 36IL Inf CO. K was fatally wounded Oct .8 .He was my GGGrandfather brother in law.I guess my gguncle .He was hit in the hip with shrapnel from the CSA artillery on the hill above and died a month latter from infection in Lexington ,KY.The Spring was important because there was a drought in the fall of 1862 and the Confederates befouled what water was to be had.The majority of my info is on paper in many unorganized files.
