I have an Uncle who served in the 9th Michigan in Company B; Nelson O. Caroyl also spelled Caryl in the military records. I know that he was paroled at Camp Chase. I know he was a pioneer. I do not know what the initial O stands for. I believe he was detached to General Thomas. Was he in the fourteenth Corp?
