Connie.... Your story about Santa Anna's leg was told to Prentis Noble, a Kansas historian and author in an interview of Marcus Tenney. Noble interview several of Kansas' old war heroes in the 1880's but never published them. I did transcribe it several years ago and would be happy to send it to you.

I also have been interested in A.A.B. Cavaness' poetry because he was a member of the 1st Kansas Battery and Marcus Tenney was his captain.

I was also in contact several years ago with a descendent of Private Jacob Coshow, a member of Tenney's battery, who did leave some material.

I would be interested in summarizing or providing you copies of information I have on Captain Tenney. If you let me know your e-mail address, I will add you to my list. I put blocks on e-mail to limit the amount of unwanted connections I used to get. Please let me know if you are interested. I don't charge but am always sharing information if you run across anything.

Thanks,
Howard Mann
