Graham:

I have no info on Col Moonlight other than that found on the internet. He seemed to be a conterversial person.

It is my understanding that the soliders under Moonlight at Mound City continued southeasterly to Little Osage River near Fort Lincoln again engaging Price's forces around 2:30 pm and yet again acroos the Missouri border near Deerfield (east from Ft Scott, KS), at Charlottes's Farm (Shilo?), either 10:OOpm or possibly 10:00 am next morning. SOURCE: Arnold Schofield, Mine Creek Park Manager from a book he had.

If this be correct, then, they may have on the return trip paraded in streets of Mound City? Another source said the people of Mound City were most happy by the forces being there at that time.

See entry below, it has a book name, which is available from the Mine Creek Park, $18.00 (US, plus postage to where you live).
