MINE CREEK Engagement

It would appear my g,grandfather, John Andrew FLORA, and his two brothers were involved with "MINE CREEK" engagement 25 Oct 1864.

John and "V P" (Wolney) were in 11th Reg Kansas State Militia, when brother Daniel Rice Boon FLORA was in Company C, under Capt James Smith and Lts Campbell & Wildy of 7rh Reg Kans Cav Vols.

The 11th was under Col Moonlght assigned to go to Ft Scott from Paola, along what is now Hwy #7, engaging Price's 12-mile long caravan at Mound City, Fort Lincoln and Deerfield, MO.

Were was Company C, 7th Reg Kans Cav Vols? Seemingly they chased Price from St Louis to MINE CREEK.
