Dear Mr Martin recently received book that helps explain the battle of Roseville The book is Th battle of massard Prairie by Dale Cox The book is copyrighted in 2008 so you can probaly get it on an interlibrary loan . It explains why the troops from Kansas
were in Fort Smith ,and also around Roseville The battle of Mansard Prairie was fought near my house in Fort Smith , but I didn'know it when I lived there . Now there is a park dedicated to the battle .
