My great-grandfather, Jesse Thomas Driver, who was from Jasper County, Missouri, enlisted in the Sixth Kansas Cavalry at Fort Scott on 12/17/61. Originally, he was in Company K but ended up in Company L. As best I can determine from various print and internet sources, he was at Massard's Prairie and the second Battle of Cabin Creek. I'm not sure about his participation at the first Battle of Cabin Creek or Honey Springs. Any leads would be appreciated. Also, having done a little historical writing, I would be interested in obtaining the book on Massard's Prairie.
