I found this pretty interesting. While I do not have the documentation to back this up,it seems to me that quite a few of the men from Kansas were a bit "high strung". I know my ancestors that were in the 6th fell under this qualification. James Blunt is another that I can think of offhand. I know this does not qualify as any type of study, but as I do research on the Kansas units, I think I will document anything of this nature that I run across and see what comes up over time.
