thank you for your reply. Thomas Stewart was my great uncle. I have all his military records, and have some of his personal possessions that he carried. As a matter of fact his photograph and personal items were on exhibit at the Carter House Museum in Franklin, TN a few years ago. I have his Bible, boot knife, photo, and two pieces of what was described to me is pieces of a Union flag cut in small squares. I have spent the last 20 years researching three Confederate regiments and wrote two biographies for the books "Ordeal By Fire" a history of the 14th Tenn. and "Cry Havoc" a history of the 49th Tenn.
