I am hoping that someone has gathered information on the 12th Indiana Infantry. My great Uncle was Thomas Stewart, born in Quebec Canada, and he served in Company A of the 12th. He was shot in the face at Richmond, KY and a POW. Then he was captured again at Atlanta and sent to Andersonville then onto Florence where he died. I have a great photo of him and some of his personal items he carried into battle. Is anyone out there writting a history on the 12th? I would love to hear from you.I wrote two biographies of over 2,500 Confederate regiments, the 14th Tennessee and the 49th Tenn.
