The Civil War Prisons Message Board

Re: prisons near Brandy Station

I got a record for the year 1864 it says film # m382 roll 18 that list Jermiah as being in 7th reg. (Ashbys cavalry) I dont know if he was mustered in to the 33 but it is listed on this sheet that was sent to me by Johnny Reb. This is who sent me his records. On the headstone that was sent to us it has coi 33 Va inf csa date oct.24 1848 - Jun.6 1917. He was listed as a pvt. The app. for his pension is not to clear ,we also have a copy of a 3 page letter he wrote to the pension board, but again the writing is hard to read.I can send you a copy if you think it would help.I think that we found these records in baton rouge,La.
