Re: prisons near Brandy Station

Thanks for your work, this Jermiah Fairburn was my gr.gr,grandfather, He was born Oct. 24 1845 in Shenandoah co.. He enlisted in coB4th reg. on dec.16 1861 in harrinsonburg va. acording to his app. for a pension. We also have a note signed by Turner Ashby ,releasing him ,he was in capt. Sheltons company this was on april 6th 1862.I ordered his records from you all but what you gave me was not in them. He was denied his pension, and he died in Louisiana on June 4 1917 and he is burried in a family cemt. on land he owned at the time. We just had a headstone placed on his grave Nov.10 2007. We just want to know about his service. He said that he served in Ashby's black horse unit. How can I get the notes you and the others sent me.Are they in a nother file or what .He said he was took prisnor near brandy station,on looks like 3rd of July 1864.He also said he took the oath of allegiance after he was discharged ,and he went to new orleans louisiana. He talks of someplace called the bull pen,the writing is so hard to read .This was in I guess 1864 not for sure of that date.
