Confederate States Navy Uniforms

Hi,
My name is Claudio and i write from Genova. I am italian historical and study American history, and in particulary the Confederacy.I have some doubt about uniforms of the navy officers' uniforms:
A) Rear admiral Raphael Semmes wore the uniforms of an admiral (5 stars straps/5 lace on cuff) or of a commodore (4 stars/4 lace on cuff)??

B) The chief bureau were captain (3stars) from 1861 to april 21, 1862, and commodore (4stars) from april 21, 1862.
The color of the shoulder straps was sky blue, or was the color of the belonging service?? the lace on the sleeve wore the executive loop??

C) Officers of the bureau of ordnance and hydrography and officers of the bureau of order and detail, were line officers??

D) September 20, 1862 was created the office of chief constructor. The officers were the chief constructor and naval constructor.Exist also the rank of assistant-constructor like U.S. Navy??

E) All books, cite 4 warrant officers: the Boatswain, Gunner, Carpenter, Sailmaker. In the naval roster of ships and stations i find: Pilot, Gunner,Carpenter, Sailmaker. The BOATSWAIN and the PILOT are the same rank??

F) When was warranted the rank of master's mate in CSN? and him wore the 18 buttons double breasted coat of comissioned officer without insignia??

G) Assistant surgeon and assistant paymaster were warrant or commissioned officers??

Thanks for your help
Claudio
