Dennis, the National Archives, in Washington, D.C. holds almost all the decklogs of Union Navy vessels during the war, including that of the USS BIENVILLE, although it commences from October, 1861, and there is a bit of a gap, sometime in 1863. See the link below for some data.
Additionally, one can usually find a large amount of information from the yearly issued copies of the Navy Register, as well as other primary sources available in different locations, such as diaries, journals, letters, etc.
Perhaps a check of the multi volumed set of the NATIONAL UNION CATALOG OF MANUSCRIPTS may yield further results on the BIENVILLE.
